I bought this little blowtorch to pair up with my new Primus Eta PackLite pot.

The ExpressSpider rivetless design unfolds smoothly in a way that I wish my MSR Whisperlite did. You simply rotate the legs of the stove around until each leg stops on one of the three built-in tabs. It's very well engineered.

One feature this stove has that many other lack is the preheating tube that makes it possible to use the canister at lower temperatures. Bucking recent trends, this stove does not come with a piezo igniter (which is just as well since they never seem to work as reliably as a lighter or a fire steel).

Another advantage to consider is because this is a remote fuel source stove; the burner can be completely surrounded by a windshield for greater efficiency, since there's no danger of overheating the cartridge.

Boil-time for one ½ liter of water was just at sixty seconds with the Expresspider stove and the 1.2 liter Eta Packlite pot--about 30 seconds faster than with the Jetboil!

This will definitely become part of my regular kit. I have a feeling that this is going to be my regular stove for years to come.
